Los Molinos is a Tehama County census-designated place about 16 miles south of Red Bluff, with the 2020 census counting 2,098 residents. Its name means "the mills," and the community grew around a railroad station and post office that opened in 1905. The town sits in the Sacramento Valley's farm country, close to the river and within reach of Corning, Tehama, and Red Bluff.
