About Lost Springs

Lost Springs is a Marion County city beside the Santa Fe Trail's Lost Spring Station, about 2.4 miles west of town. The station was a road ranche, mail stage station, and post office where travelers stopped for water, meals, supplies, and lodging. A granite marker and National Park Service signs preserve that trail site, while the modern city remains tied to the Flint Hills and the old wagon route across central Kansas.
