Lower Berkshire Valley, NJ

Lower Berkshire Valley is a Morris County census-designated place divided between Roxbury and Jefferson townships, running along Berkshire Valley Road. The Rockaway River drains the area, and the valley's road-and-water geography shows up in the nearby Rockaway River Wildlife Management Area and fishing access points. It is one of those New Jersey place names that sounds larger than the census line: mostly a northeastern Roxbury community, with the northern end reaching into southern Jefferson.
