Luckey, OH

Luckey got its start in the late 1800s, founded along the limestone ridges of northwest Ohio's Wood County. Captain James Luckey opened a sawmill and stave factory here in 1879, and the village quickly grew around the railroad line with a post office, local shops, and stone quarries. While those early industrial days are in the past, that history helped shape the sturdy, unpretentious character the town keeps today.

Today, Luckey offers a quiet, neighborly setting where it is easy to put down roots. Kids grow up in the well-regarded Eastwood school district, and local green spaces provide plenty of room for baseball games, playgrounds, and the annual Luckey Fall Festival at Basic Park every September. It gives residents the calm of small-town living, all while keeping Toledo, Perrysburg, and Bowling Green close enough for an easy daily commute.
