About Luray
Luray is a town and the county seat of Page County, Virginia, situated in the scenic Shenandoah Valley. Established in 1812 along Hawksbill Creek by William Staige Marye and famous as the gateway to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah National Park, the community of approximately 4,827 is served by the Page County Public Schools district for public primary and secondary education.
