Lutak, AK

Lutak is a small census-designated place in Haines Borough, Alaska, north of Haines. It surrounds the Chilkoot River valley and sits near Chilkoot Lake and the Ferebee River, giving the community a strong Southeast Alaska landscape identity. With only a few dozen residents, Lutak is more a rural residential and natural setting than a conventional town. Mountains, rivers, lake access, wildlife, and the road back toward Haines shape how the place is understood.
