Lyons, MI

Lyons is a quiet village tucked along the Grand River in Ionia County, just about five miles east of Ionia and right next door to Muir. With fewer than 800 residents, it offers a relaxed, close-knit feel centered around the water. The community's centerpiece is Hazel DeVore Park, situated on a 10-acre river island known locally as The Island. It is a favorite spot to unwind, offering shaded walking trails, a fishing pier, picnic pavilions, campsites, and easy boat access to the river.

Founded in the 1830s, the village grew around the river trade and early railroad lines connecting central Michigan.
