Malin, OR

Malin is a quiet agricultural town in southern Oregon, sitting just north of the California border about thirty miles southeast of Klamath Falls. With around 700 residents, the community enjoys wide-open high desert skies and a calm, rural atmosphere shaped by the surrounding Klamath Basin farmland. It is a place where life moves at an easy pace, with local schools, quiet residential streets, and family farms anchoring the community.

The town has unique roots, founded in 1909 by Czech immigrants who established a farming colony and named it after their hometown in Bohemia. Today, that heritage continues through historic landmarks, generational farms, and gatherings at the community park, alongside a strong Hispanic population that also helps drive the local agricultural economy. It gives Malin a distinct cultural character and a close-knit, welcoming feel.
