About Malone

Malone is a Grays Harbor County census-designated place just off U.S. 12, southeast of Elma and northwest of Oakville. Before 2010 it shared a CDP with Porter; the two communities are now counted separately. A shortline of the Puget Sound and Pacific Railroad runs through the area, giving Malone a small rail thread even though the place is unincorporated. The Chehalis River valley lies to the west, while the roads and tracks place Malone in the southeast corner of Grays Harbor. It is a Washington place best understood by its neighboring communities and transportation lines.
