Manchester is an established, welcoming suburb in western St. Louis County, centered around the busy junction of Manchester Road and Highway 141. Long before modern subdivisions popped up, the area got its start in the early 1800s as a bustling stagecoach stop connecting overland travelers between the Missouri and Meramec rivers. Settlers borrowed the name from the English industrial city, and you can still spot pieces of that crossroads history around town today.
