About Manor Creek
Manor Creek is a home rule-class city in northeastern Jefferson County, Kentucky, within the larger Louisville area. Its boundaries put it between Ten Broeck to the east, Broeck Pointe to the south, Goose Creek at the southern corner, and Barbourmeade to the west, with consolidated Louisville and Jefferson County surrounding the remaining sides. Downtown Louisville is about eleven miles southwest. Manor Creek is one of several small cities in this part of the county, where separate municipal lines sit close together and local streets can cross several city names in a short distance.
The place is best read through its map. Manor Creek's neighboring cities form a chain along the northern edge of Louisville, and the creek names preserve the older landscape beneath the modern boundaries. Broeck Pointe, Goose Creek, Ten Broeck, and Barbourmeade all appear in the same local network, giving Manor Creek a setting that is more connected than its small size suggests. There is no large downtown district to define the city; the boundaries, roads, and neighboring communities do that work. Manor Creek is a compact Kentucky city with a clear place in Jefferson County's patchwork of municipalities.
