Manorhaven, NY

Manorhaven is a village on the Port Washington peninsula in Nassau County, facing Manhasset Bay. It incorporated in 1930 after word spread that Port Washington might incorporate, a local-control origin that fits Long Island's village pattern. Manorhaven Beach Park, owned by the Town of North Hempstead, is the major public landmark, with Morgan's Dock Park adding more waterfront access. The village feels dense, residential, and bay-oriented, closely tied to Port Washington while keeping its own municipal identity.
