Manton is a small, easygoing city in Wexford County, located in northwestern Lower Michigan about fifteen minutes north of Cadillac. The town got its start in the 1870s as a logging and railroad stop along Cedar Creek, and water and woods still define the setting. With US-131 running right past town, residents get a peaceful, rural setting with a straightforward commute to larger nearby communities.
