Maplewood, WA

Maplewood is an unincorporated Pierce County community near Gig Harbor, south of Olalla on Puget Sound's Colvos Passage. Crescent Lake and the wooded shoreline setting give it a quieter, more rural-residential feel than the busier parts of Tacoma or Gig Harbor. Maplewood is small and lightly defined, but its appeal is straightforward: water nearby, trees, winding roads, and access to the Kitsap and Pierce County sides of the South Sound. It is a place shaped more by landscape than by a town center.
