About Marfa

Marfa is a city and the county seat of Presidio County, Texas, situated in the high desert of the Trans-Pecos region. Founded in the 1880s as a railroad water stop and historically hosting the Marfa Army Air Field pilot training base during World War II, the renowned minimalist art community of approximately 2,482 is served by the Marfa Independent School District.
