About Marlborough
Marlborough is the main village and census-designated place of the town of Marlborough in Cheshire County. The CDP had 1,066 residents in 2020, out of 2,096 across the town. It sits in the Minnewawa Brook valley near Keene and Swanzey, at the junction of New Hampshire Routes 101 and 124. The first settler arrived in 1764, and the Marlborough Historical Society now preserves records and objects tied to the town’s schools, library, old industries, businesses, and departments. The result is a small civic center set among hills, brooks, and a wider rural town, with the village serving as the place where those local threads meet.
