About Martin

Martin is a city in Weakley County, Tennessee, situated in the northwestern portion of the state. Named in honor of early settler William Martin who arrived in 1832, the community of approximately 10,915 is the home of the University of Tennessee at Martin and the University of Tennessee Botanical Gardens. Public education is administered by the Weakley County Schools system.
