Maugansville is a quiet community in Washington County, sitting just three miles northwest of Hagerstown and a stone's throw from the Pennsylvania border. Home to around 3,700 residents, it offers a relaxed, small-town atmosphere grounded in a rich farming heritage. The area was settled in the early 1800s by the Maugans family and grew around its railroad, grain mill, and surrounding Mennonite homesteads, serving as a steady hub for Cumberland Valley agriculture.
