Mauston is a city and the county seat of Juneau County, Wisconsin, situated along the Lemonweir River. Founded by Milton Maughs and hosting a campus of Western Technical College, the commercial center had a population of 4,248 at the 2020 census and is served by the Mauston Area School District, which includes Mauston High School.
