Maxeys, GA

Maxeys is a tiny, quiet town in Oglethorpe County with around 200 residents. Located about thirty minutes southeast of Athens, it got its start in the 1840s as a depot along the Georgia Railroad and took its name from landowner Jesse Maxey.
