About McKee City

McKee City is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, New Jersey. Founded in 1884 by Colonel John McKee, an African American property speculator, the community of approximately 10,700 has transitioned from a tenant farming settlement to a commercial hub that includes the Hamilton Mall and the former Atlantic City Race Course. Public education is provided by the Hamilton Township School District.
