About Menomonie
Menomonie is the county seat of Dunn County in western Wisconsin, best known as the home of the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Lake Menomin and the Red Cedar River give the city a strong water-and-valley setting, while Wakanda Park preserves traces of much older Indigenous mound-building culture. UW-Stout adds students, design, engineering, and applied learning to a town that also has manufacturing and regional services. Menomonie feels collegiate, outdoorsy, and practical, with a downtown that still serves surrounding farm country.
