About Mentone

Mentone is a San Bernardino County community east of Redlands, at the base of the San Bernardino Mountains. The road through Mentone is one of the gateways up into the mountains, which gives the town a foothill feel even though it sits in the Inland Empire. Its settlement history connects to the Lugonia and Crafton colonies, after land was purchased near the south bank of the Santa Ana River. Today Mentone mixes older citrus-area history, mountain access, and unincorporated residential streets.
