About Miamisburg

Miamisburg is a southern Montgomery County city along the Great Miami River, south of Dayton. European-American settlement began around 1797 when Zechariah Hole and his family settled at what became known as Hole's Station. The city later developed an industrial identity, including nuclear-related work during World War II, and its downtown still has a cluster of small stores and older buildings. Miamisburg feels like a river-town suburb with real history, local pride, and a stronger industrial backstory than its size suggests.
