About Michiana
Michiana is a Berrien County village in the extreme southwest corner of Michigan, where the name itself points toward the Indiana line. The area was developed across the state border by the Long Beach Development Company beginning in the 1920s, and the Michigan side incorporated as Michiana Village in 1946. Its log homes, many built in the 1920s, are the detail that sets the village apart from the larger region called Michiana. Michiana is Lake Michigan vacation-country in a very small frame: state line, wooded lots, and cabins with history.
