Millers Lake, MI

Millers Lake is a census-designated place in northwest Deerfield Township, Lapeer County, surrounding a lake of the same name. The lake covers about 53 acres, and Barnes Lake lies immediately east across M-24. That highway separates the two lake communities while leading south about nine miles to Lapeer and north to Mayville. Millers Lake was listed separately as a CDP before the 2020 census, after the former Barnes Lake–Millers Lake CDP was divided. The 2020 census counted 311 residents.

The community is small enough that the water and road map do most of the talking. Shoreline homes, seasonal lake activity, and neighboring Barnes Lake share the wider Deerfield Township setting, which has no incorporated municipalities. Columbiaville is nearby to the west, while Lapeer handles larger shopping and county connections to the south. M-24 gives Millers Lake a direct daily route without turning it into a commercial center. It is a Michigan lake community defined by its shoreline, a paired-lake neighbor, and a highway that keeps the rural township connected.
