Milroy, PA

Milroy is a Mifflin County CDP in the Kishacoquillas Valley, the long central Pennsylvania basin locals often call Big Valley. The valley takes its name from a Shawnee chief, while the farming landscape was later shaped by Amish and Mennonite settlement, rich soil, and limestone. Milroy itself is an unincorporated place in Armagh Township, so its identity is less about a municipal square and more about the valley around it: barns, ridge lines, small roads, and the larger Kish community.
