Minden, IA

Located about thirty miles northeast of Council Bluffs and Omaha, Minden is a quiet rural town of around 600 residents surrounded by southwest Iowa farmland. It offers a relaxed, small-town atmosphere with an easy drive to big-city jobs and shopping. Families here are served by the Tri-Center Community School District, with schools located just down the road in neighboring Neola.

In April 2024, a major tornado caused severe damage across town, sparking an ongoing, community-wide rebuilding effort. Neighbors have banded together to rebuild homes and local spaces, drawing immense support from across the region. It is a resilient town defined by strong community bonds, where people take pride in helping one another get back on their feet.
