Misenheimer, NC

Misenheimer is a quiet, close-knit village in northern Stanly County built around education and open green space. While the area got its start in the 1800s with gold mining and a bustling railroad stop, it found its lasting identity once the school that grew into Pfeiffer University opened its doors. It officially incorporated as a municipality in 2003, preserving a peaceful, small-town atmosphere surrounded by the rolling Carolina countryside.

Pfeiffer’s brick campus and the neighboring Gray Stone Day School sit right at the center of the village, bringing sports games, guest lectures, and seasonal arts events to the neighborhood.
