Mohrsville is a Berks County census-designated place in Centre Township, about three miles south of Shoemakersville and along the Schuylkill River. The river supplies the clearest local frame: it is the waterway that places the community in the broader Berks Valley and gives the name more than a dot-on-a-road feel. With no separate municipal government, Mohrsville’s character comes through its position, its river edge, and the township roads that connect it to neighboring places.

Rail travel once added another layer. A former station on the SEPTA Pottsville Line served Mohrsville until passenger service ended in 1981, leaving the community with a local history shaped by both water and tracks. The old station belongs to an earlier transportation map, while the river remains the constant feature. Mohrsville is a small place, but its setting is easy to picture: a named community on the Schuylkill, close to Shoemakersville, with Centre Township around it and a railroad past under the current roads.
