Mokane, MO

Tucked into the scenic Missouri River valley in southern Callaway County, Mokane is a quiet, welcoming community with plenty of small-town charm. Originally founded as a river landing in the early nineteenth century, the settlement eventually moved slightly inland to escape seasonal floodwaters and took its unique name from the Missouri-Kansas-Eastern Railroad.
