Moncks Corner, SC

Moncks Corner is the county seat of Berkeley County, northwest of Charleston and south of Lake Moultrie. The area was historically occupied by the Edisto people, part of the Cusabo world of coastal South Carolina. Today the town functions as a Lowcountry county hub, with a Berkeley County Library branch, schools, churches, and government services. Moncks Corner feels like a place where older rural South Carolina, lake country, and Charleston-area growth are all pressing into one another.
