About Monon

Monon is a relaxed White County community with deep railroad roots, best known for lending its name to Indiana's historic Monon Route. You can still feel that rail history throughout downtown, where well-kept vintage storefronts give the area plenty of small-town character. Families appreciate having the North White schools clustered conveniently along Broadway, and the annual Monon Food Fest brings everyone together each June for good food, crafts, and a classic car show. Sitting right along US 421, it also offers a straightforward commute south to Lafayette.
