Set along the foothills of the Ramapo Mountains, Montebello has the quiet, wooded feel of a countryside retreat within easy reach of New York City. Because the village is spread out along country-style roads without sidewalks, you will need a car for grocery runs, school drop-offs, and trips to the train station in neighboring Suffern.
