Monterey, IN

Monterey is a town in Tippecanoe Township, Pulaski County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The 2020 census counted 182 residents. Monterey was first called Buena Vista, and under the latter name was laid out in 1849. The present name commemorates the Battle of Monterrey. The town has a lending library, the Monterey-Tippecanoe Township Public Library. That mix gives Monterey a clear local shape within Indiana, with older layers still visible in current places.
