Morgandale, OH

Morgandale is a Trumbull County census-designated place in the Youngstown–Warren area, with the Morgandale neighborhoods occupying the northwest quadrant of Howland Township. The community has the residential pattern of a small unincorporated place, while Warren and the rest of the Mahoning Valley supply the larger regional context. Its local geography is easiest to read through Howland’s roads and township services, which connect Morgandale to nearby neighborhoods without giving it a separate municipal government.

Morgandale Park is the clearest gathering place in the community. The park has a large field, playground, covered shelter, and space used by nearby residents, and it sits within walking distance of many Morgandale homes. The field and shelter also give the neighborhood a shared place for play and gatherings. Howland Township Park District also operates Howland Community Park and Bolindale Park, expanding the recreation system around the neighborhood. The result is a small residential center with its own park, tied to the larger recreation network and regional services around Howland and Warren.
