Moulton, AL

Moulton is a historic city and the county seat of Lawrence County, Alabama, situated within the Decatur metropolitan area. Originally established as a migrant path waystation centered on an early nineteenth-century inn, the town incorporated in 1819, winning the county seat designation the following year. Moulton has grown to become the county's largest community, with key transportation routes including Alabama State Routes 33, 24, and 157. Today, the town serves as a commercial center for approximately thirty-four hundred residents.
