Mount Wolf, PA

Mount Wolf is a York County borough that took shape around a railroad station in the 1850s, when the York and Cumberland Railroad placed a stop between Emigsville, Liverpool, and New Holland. The earliest recorded land deeds in the area date to 1746. The station was first called Mount Campbell, then Mount Wolf after George H. Wolf, who served as stationmaster, postmaster, and local storekeeper. Mount Wolf incorporated as a borough in 1910. It is a Pennsylvania place that grew from a station into a town.
