About Mulberry
Mulberry is a Crawford County city in the Arkansas River Valley, named for the mulberry trees that lined the local banks. The Little Rock and Fort Smith Railroad arrived in 1876, helping turn the area into a permanent settlement, while farming remained part of the town's backbone. Today the Mulberry River runs along the city's eastern side, with canoeing, fishing, tubing, and hunting shaping the nearby recreation map. Mulberry is western Arkansas in a river-valley-and-railroad shape, with Main Street pointing toward the water.
