Nedrow, NY

Nedrow is an Onondaga County CDP and hamlet in the Town of Onondaga, just south of Syracuse. It sits along U.S. 11 and I-81, with the Onondaga Central and LaFayette school districts dividing service areas across the community. The name itself is the fun local clue: Nedrow is an anadrome of Worden, the name of the founder. Nedrow also sits near the Onondaga Nation's present-day territory, which carries the deeper history of the area. It is a small roadside community whose map is tied to the town, the highway, and the name flipped backward.
