About Nenana
Nenana is a home rule city in the Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area of Interior Alaska, situated at the confluence of the Tanana and Nenana rivers. Home to around three hundred and fifty residents, this remote community developed as a Lower Tanana Athabascan settlement. The city is notable for the historic Mears Memorial Bridge, a major railway bridge constructed over the Tanana River. Nenana hosts a community of local artists whose works reflect the frontier lifestyle and remains a vital transport hub along the Alaska Railroad.
