Neosho, MO

Set along the western edge of the Ozarks, Neosho offers a relaxed small-town feel about twenty minutes south of Joplin. With a population of around 12,500, it is the county seat of Newton County and sits right off Highways 60 and 71. Often called the Flower Box City thanks to its colorful downtown blooms, the town draws in newcomers looking for quiet neighborhoods, scenic green hills, and an easy commute to nearby cities.

Life in Neosho revolves around a historic downtown square filled with local diners, boutiques, and community festivals. Residents spend weekends outdoors at Big Spring Park, strolling the walking trails or visiting the historic Neosho National Fish Hatchery. With affordable housing, Crowder College on the south side of town, and dependable employers in manufacturing and aviation, it provides a practical, easygoing home base in southwest Missouri.
