Neshanic Station, NJ

Neshanic Station is a Somerset County community centered in Branchburg, with portions extending into nearby township areas. Its name comes from an Algonquian phrase often interpreted as meaning "double stream," and the community grew around a station on a former railroad line. The Neshanic Station Historic District gives the place a small preserved core, with older buildings, rural roads, and a quieter feel than many central New Jersey suburbs. It is close to Flemington, Somerville, and the broader Route 202 and 206 corridor.
