New Harmony, IN

New Harmony sits along the Wabash River in southwestern Indiana, about thirty minutes northwest of Evansville. With around 700 residents, it offers a quiet, relaxed pace of life with a personality that stands out from typical small towns. The community began in the early 1800s as a pair of utopian experiments led by German Harmonists and later British reformer Robert Owen, attracting scholars, scientists, and free thinkers whose influence still gives the town its unique character.
