New Market is a town in Shenandoah County, Virginia, situated in the Shenandoah Valley near Massanutten Mountain. Serving historically as a crossroads trading center where U.S. Route eleven and U.S. Route two-hundred-and-eleven intersect, the community of approximately 2,155 at the 2020 census is famous for the 1864 Battle of New Market and is served by the Shenandoah County Public Schools district, including Stonewall Jackson High School.
