Newell, CA

Newell is a census-designated place in Modoc County, California, United States. Newell is located 50 miles west-northwest of Alturas, at an elevation of 4,042 feet. The community is located along State Route 139, south of Tulelake and approximately 10 miles south of the Oregon border. There are many grain and horseradish storage facilities in or near Newell.
