About Newport

Newport is a historic city in Campbell County, Kentucky, situated at the confluence of the Ohio and Licking rivers. Located directly across from Cincinnati, the urban center of approximately 14,000 was named in honor of Captain Christopher Newport, commander of the first English voyage to Jamestown. The city is a major entertainment destination, home to the Newport on the Levee complex and the Newport Aquarium.
