Newport, PA

Set right along the Juniata River, Newport grew from an early 1800s canal and railroad hub into the quiet, scenic small town it is today. You can still see much of that heritage in its walkable downtown, where historic brick storefronts and Victorian homes cluster near the riverfront. It has the feel of a peaceful, tight-knit borough with an easy pace, local arts, and quick access to the water for kayaking or fishing.
