About Niceville

Niceville is a city in the Florida Panhandle, part of the Crestview-Fort Walton Beach-Destin area and closely tied to Eglin Air Force Base. The town was once called Boggy before its name changed in the early 1900s, a history still echoed by the old Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival. Niceville sits near Choctawhatchee Bay, giving it water access without the full beach-resort feel. It is suburban, military-adjacent, and quieter than the busier Destin corridor nearby.
