Nord, CA

Nord is a small rural community set among the orchards and farmland just a few miles northwest of Chico. With fewer than 300 residents, it offers a peaceful corner of the Sacramento Valley defined by open fields, quiet country lanes, and mountain views in the distance. The settlement got its start in the 1870s when the Oregon and California Railroad came through, quickly turning the area into one of Butte County's busiest grain-shipping depots.
